Play FORE The Cure Challenge
Are you a golfer interested in the
ULTIMATE PLAYER COMPETITION?
Join us at the Play FORE The Cure Challenge on OCTOBER 5 & 6, 2021, sponsored by Mackenzie’s Mission, benefitting the Amyloidosis Speakers Bureau and leading research institutions such as the Mayo Clinic, Scripps Research, Boston University and Tufts University. The tournament is an exclusive 24 player Presidents Cup format, with two teams of twelve competing for the title. The format will consist of a 2-man best ball on the front nine, with individual match play on the back nine. The winning team captain will receive the perpetual trophy to keep for the year, and the winning players will receive individual awards.
The event begins Tuesday October 5 in the evening with player check-in and happy hour where team captains Mark Boedicker and Jeff Renzulli will select their teams, pairings, and starting times for the next morning’s play. This will be followed by a delicious dinner and a presentation from Mackenzie’s Mission. Overnight accommodations are provided at two exclusive RTJ cottages. The tournament day, Wednesday October 6, begins with a light buffet breakfast before players warm up on the range and head to the first tee. Following conclusion of play there will be lunch and an awards celebration.
The event will be held at the spectacular Robert Trent Jones Golf Club (RTJ), host of four Presidents’ Cup Tournaments and the PGA Tour Tiger Woods/Quicken Loans National, and is widely respected nationwide as a premier private course.

What Past Participants Say About Play FORE The Cure
Having organized many golf tournaments myself, I was exceedingly impressed with the entire experience. Great cause, great people, great event, great venue!! (Sandy Sterrett)
Mackenzie and her team provided a fantastic and memorable experience that exceeded my expectations. From the registration through final ceremony the entire event went smoothly and was a very enjoyable day. What a great cause and wonderful facility to conduct a charity golf outing. I would recommend adding this to anyone’s list of charity events to support. (Don Ragley)
Play Fore The Cure was a superb outing throughout. What started with our intention of supporting a worthy cause ended up as a first-class client entertainment event. The venue, golf course, tournament, events, food and swag could not have been better. We created lasting memories for our clients with this outing, and that’s just money in the bank. (Tom Butler)
The event at RTJ this year was spectacular. On top of being able to play and incredible PGA course in pristine condition, we were able to meet and greet with a PGA The Players Champion. The company, prizes, and overall experience is something I will look forward to participating in again next year. (Hunter McFadden)
While the golf was great, the highlight of the day was listening to Mackenzie’s speech at dinner. I had never heard of Amyloidosis and was not familiar with her story. It was amazing to hear about the impact that Mackenzie’s Mission has made in two years. Play Fore the Cure was one of my favorite golf experiences this year! (Doug Stump)
Great outing! What makes a great outing? Location helps – can’t get much better than RTJ. The people – what a great bunch of people – from all of the volunteers who were there before sunrise, to the staff of the club. I felt like I was at my own club! The cause – I couldn’t be happier to be involved with Mackenzie’s Mission, if even on a small level. Congratulations to your whole team! See you next time!! (Richard Walker)
